Water Challange

Are you Drinking Water at the Correct Time of the Day?

Drinking water at the correct time maximizes it’s effectiveness on the human body.

First thing when you wake up most people typically reach for the coffee pot. By the way, is a bad habit and trust me, I’m just as guilty. You wake up, your all tired and groggy, and what do you want? CAFFEINE!

What does caffeine do to the body? It acts as a stimulant by raising your heart rate and blood pressure. It also acts as a diuretic, which can cause you to be dehydrated. With that being said, after sleeping for 6-8 hours you just drank your caffeinated coffee. That means you’ve gone at least 6-8 hours without water and you probably didn’t drink water before bed therefore, your probably already dehydrated and grab the one thing that makes you more dehydrated. Drinking coffee first thing in the morning is bad habit a lot of us need to break.

Not only is drinking the right amount of water important but also, drinking water at the right time of the day.

I challenge you to start drinking water at the correct time of the day for 1 month!

Before you start:

Grab a notebook and jot down your current weight, your typical mood, how you generally feel, and your energy levels. Best way to start is make a journal of your day. Right down how you feel in the morning when you first wake, after meals, and before bed. Make note of how much water you actually drink. Then, take a full body picture of yourself. Set your notebook and photo aside, we’ll grab these again in 30 days.

Let the Challenge Begin…

First, do you know how much water you should drink a day?

Take your current weight and divide that by 2. For example: if you weight 150 pounds divide that by 2 and get 75.

That means you would need to drink 75 ounces everyday.

Now, there are 8 ounces in an average glass so take 75 ounces divided by 8= 9.375 I always like to round up to the next nearest number and make it a solid 10 glasses a day.

Everyday complete the following:

Drink 2 Glasses👉After waking up.

Helps activate the brain and internal organs.

Help Activate Your Brain

Drinking 2 glasses of water after waking up refreshes the mind and body as it carries oxygen through bloodstream to your vital organs.

Now that you have hydrated your body and your brain is starting to feel more alert, have that cup of coffee. You do not have to cut caffeine out of your diet, caffeine is okay in moderate amounts at the accurate time of the day. After doing this routine for about a month I noticed, I no longer craved coffee in the morning. I was already alert and ready to go. However, there are still those days that life goes on and coffee is MUST and I NEED the caffeine.

It’s typical to drink water during your meal. However, it’s important to drink water 30 minutes before your meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Warm Water at Bedtime

~Spice it up by adding some Lemon or Honey~

Don’t like warm water? Try room temperature instead.

After 30 Days of Drinking Water at the Correct Times

After you have successfully completed 30 days of drinking water at the correct times, grab out that notebook you set aside and re-write how you currently feel. Do you notice a change of energy? Mood? Weight loss? Write it down and compare your results. Then, take a new full body photo and compare the results.
